Generic hibachi steakhouse. The food was good, and the chef was entertaining. The waitress was sub par. She would kind of disappear at times when drinks ran low, etc. All of the food was great.

Great food every time we go. Hibachi and sushi always good!! Steak and shrimp with stir fry rice is my favorite. At lunch they have a great menu. Service is excellent.

Definitely fun experience to go to! The cooks could put on a show and everyone one of them has their own unique style. This place is more for the show than the quality of meat and food. Service was very good. They were attentive and drinks were always filled. Coming into the restaurant, everyone was very friendly and greeted us with a big smile. For starters, if you are coming for the first time, you HAVE TO SIT IN FRONT of the grill. They do a little routine or flipping the spatula and making things go in flames. Front a center is a must! If you have a good chief, they will add a little surprise that may have not been expected. Fried rice: was my favorite item from what I ordered. It was an extra $2.50 but so worth it! Of course it was cooked in butter, but more butter more better!!! Trust me I usually hate eating rice, but this was so addicting. Filet Mignon with lobster: The filet mignon was nice and tender and made medium well as I like it. What it did lack was flavor and proper seasoning. There was 2 different sauces that were available, but I felt that it could have used a little more flavor. The lobster portion of the dish was delicious. I liked it better than the steak. Overall: good experience for the show and the food is decent, but not something do go crazy for.

This is the kind of sushi I expect in Little Rock, AR. Deep fried and covered in mayo. When I asked for a roll that they recommended that wasn't covered deep fried and covered in mayo, the waitress had to ask other workers. And for service, well that was a mixed bag. I had a nice enough waitress who would ask how the food was and immediately walk off before I even had a chance to comprehend what she said. But at the same time, another older lady seemed to be paying extremely close attention to me and actually gave me impromptu chop stick lessons. It's convenient if you are staying at the Embassy Suites. And it may be the best sushi place in Little Rock, if you are into deep fried sushi.

Overall a good experience! I decided to try Kobe based on several reviews and since it is the most convenient spot in relation to my hotel. It is a ten second walk from Embassy Suites, and the Hibachi meal with newly met friends around the grill made a business dinner a bit more fun. I had the steak and chicken with fried rice. The show proved superb and the food well prepared with portions sufficient for two. The only "negative" is in line with other reviewers. There is a language barrier with many of the staff, but I found that quirk more entertaining than troublesome. There is a sushi bar as well, which I did not try.

Convenient when staying at Embassy suites next door the food was pretty good maybe not best hibachi I've had but definitely not bad!

I went for sushi (and convenience) but decided on the grill dinner instead. I'm glad I did, because there were very few vegetable rolls on the sushi menu. Our chef was talented and amusing for certain. I think he would have been even more entertaining if the recipes weren't bland. I got the feeling he wasn't able or allowed to take too many liberties with his expertise. The service was good and the food wasn't a particularly good value.

Felt rushed to leave. Waitstaff cleaned and set store up for next business day right around us while we ate. Should we not come in late? ??

Not to shabby- I was staying at the Embassy Suites, this place was convenient and pretty good. Reading other reviews I wasn't sure on how good it would be but I was pleasantly surprised. I got Hibachi (I live in NY so miss these "southern" things :) ) I went in at 8:00 on a Sunday and got right in, great service and major props to Robert the chef man- he was very friendly and did a GREAT show with knives and utensils (probably the best I have seen). Food was good and prices were right. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

If you've been to a Benihana's, then you'll know what to expect at Kobe. Same food, same service, same atmosphere, same "throwing food in the air juggling" by the teppan chef. MUCH cleaner than Samarai, but then again, it's much newer, too. Go and enjoy yourself.

If you still like Chinese style, Japanese food. This is Okay but price is for regular Japanese food.........

Me and my husband's favorite sushi in metro area! Seriously crave Kobe's rolls!. One of the best spider rolls in the nation, and we have eaten sushi in numerous different cities. They don't use lots of filler like lettuce, that doesn't belong in rolls!

Kobe Japan Steak House was just okay. I was not all that impressed. The staff was nice and very friendly. I just wish the food could have been and good as the staff's attitudes.

I enjoy Japanese Steakhouses, and Kobe is definitely the best in the area. Nice atmosphere, with good service, and tasty food. I love their fried rice and soup, as well as the teriyaki chicken. I'm not a fan of sushi in general, but my friends really enjoyed Kobe's sushi. The chefs are always entertaining and friendly, as well.

I wasn't that impressed with Kobe. I checked online and saw that they were open until 10pm during the week. So, I went at 9:15 to order sushi to go. Everyone was cleaning up and you could see that they were pretty angry that I came in. Now, I can understand if it was 9:45, but not 9:15! I ordered two sushi rolls to go. I wasn't that impressed by the options they had. The sushi rolls I ordered were okay, but nothing to call home about. Overall, I could see myself going here again if I was in the area and didn't want to venture. However, I will definitely be looking for a better sushi restaurant.

First time here, it was for lunch. I got the teriyaki chicken lunch box. The food was very good and fresh. The service was adequate. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because they don't have shrimp sauce (white sauce, yum-yum sauce, whatever you like to call it), which I personally feel is vital to my complete happiness at a Japanese restaurant.
